AMBON, MalukuTerkini.com – The Governor of Maluku, Murad Ismail, ensures that he will provide convenience to entrepreneurs who want to invest in Maluku. This was stated by the Governor in front of a number of investors from Eastern Indonesia (KTI) during the Business and Investment Forum as part of the Maluku Baileo Exhibition, which was held in Makassar, Saturday (5/2/2022).
The forum was also attended by the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono. This business and investment forum is the first major event held by the Maluku Provincial Government.
South Sulawesi was chosen as the location for the implementation, because it is the center of the business and trade area spread across Eastern Indonesia.
“I am sure that the region will progress if many entrepreneurs invest in it. Job opportunities will open up, and have an impact on the welfare of the community as well as regional income,” said the Governor.
He admitted that this business and investment forum was the first major event held by the Maluku Provincial Government. South Sulawesi was chosen as the location for the implementation, because it is the center of the largest business and trade area in Eastern Indonesia.
“I hope that the cooperation between Maluku and South Sulawesi can provide acceleration for both parties,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Expert Staff of the South Sulawesi Provincial Government for People’s Welfare, Jayadi Nas, admitted that the South Sulawesi region is very strategic, and has excellent potential in various sectors. Starting from agriculture, fisheries and marine, tourism, and other natural resources.
“24 City Districts in South Sulawesi have promising investment potential. And we are committed to continuing to create a conducive investment climate,” he explained.
In addition to the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, the Deputy Minister of Investment and representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture were also present. (MT-04)
